Aaduri Healing Arts has treatment room space available for (reasonable) rent beginning Sept. 1st. We are a small group of Massage Therapists. We would love another LMT or Acupuncturist or any other alternative therapy practitioner. This would be an independent contractor position for someone looking to build their own practice. This is a large, bright apartment with character, and it's above a carryout on the same block as Koco's. There's a nice size bed room and a second small room (office/den/bedroom?), a living room, kitchen, bath, laundry area (washer and dryer furnished), and very large private deck.

I love Lauraville and find there's a lot of community involvement. There are a couple of non-traditional cafes on the same two block strip and a pub (Koco's) that has been around for over 30 years. This is about 1.2 miles from Morgan State University and near Herring Run Park. The Johns Hopkins Homewood Campus is about 4 miles (a 15 minute commute). It's convenient to shopping and buses.

The rent is $795 which includes water and sewer. The tenant pays all other utilities. I require a minimum of a one year lease and a one month security deposit. There's a $25 application fee. Small pets will be considered with an additional half months security deposit (refundable) and a monthly fee of $20 (non-refundable).

Everything Mustard’s Retreat does on stage is aimed at pleasing, moving and engaging their audience. Whether singing their own gentle love songs and vivid ballads, telling tall tales or offering treasures from America’s vast traditional song bag, a Mustard’s Retreat show always feels like it’s designed for the people who have come to see them that day. And leave it to these guys to pen a glowing ode to the coffeehouse volunteers whose enthusiasm keeps the folk embers glowing.

“I work with them several times a year and always wish it was more,” said Canadian songwriter Garnet Rogers, among the most popular performers on the folk circuit. “The thing that always impresses me is the incredible openness they have with the audience. They stand up there and just radiate friendliness; the audience is included in the whole process, encouraged to sing along and talk back. I’ve learned a lot from them in that sense.”

“They are so warm and friendly and giving on stage, completely in touch with the audience,” said Tom Paxton… “there are no barriers at all, and you just love to watch that and be part of it. But the thing that strikes me about them from Jump Street — and that makes it all work so well — is that their time is so tight. Michael is such a wonderful, simple bass player; his time is just flawless. And that’s why two guys can move you musically the way they do — they have a gorgeous sense of time and tempo, a real musicality to what they do.”

Kipyn Martin

Kipyn Martin is an emerging Mid-Atlantic singer/songwriter whose roots sink into the banks of the Shenandoah River. Her voice is gathering a reputation in the region, hailed by listeners as “an instrument of unrefined purity” ~ Tony S.- Leicester Bangs and 

“the most pure voice I’ve ever heard” ~ Karin Fuller- The Charleston Gazette. 

In February 2013 Kipyn celebrated the release of her debut album, 

Undercover Muse offering an authentic representation of Kipyns live performance.

 Placing in the New Song Academy Songwriting Competition inspired Kipyn to pursue a Master of Music degree which she attained from Shenandoah Conservatory in 2012. Most recently her song, “Nightbird” earned a gold medal, as well as the Director’s Choice Award, in the 2013 Mid-Atlantic Songwriting Contest. She also received international distinction in the 2013 UK Song Contest when “I Believe in You” from Undercover Muse earned a semi-finalist rating. An honesty and vitality of voice make this woman a performing artist not to be missed.
