"This is an official notification that Volunteers of America Chesapeake, Inc. will no longer serve as the operator of the Harford Senior Center and the Northeast Food Pantry.
We will continue to provide programs and services geared to the needs of our members and the community. The new management/operators are The Govans Ecumenical Development Corporation, as of July 1, 2012. This was indeed a smooth transition and therefore, there will be no interruption to the services provided here at the Center."
Harford Senior Center will begin a new tradition where members and staff of the center will come together to clean up the front garden, till the soil, and plant flowers in memory of loved ones. This labor of love will begin on Thursday, July 26th from 10 a.m. till 12:00 noon.
Flower donations will be accepted as well as 'green thumbs' that are willing to join.

at the Hamilton Gallery July 6-29
"I took this series of photographs at theNational Gallery of Artlast year and I knew from the start I wanted to do some sort of project with several of them. I love the idea of creating art of people looking at art, and then a new audience looking at that art–very M. C. Escher. While going through my supplies I found 9 pieces of old canvas paper calledCanvasette, really mellow and ivory with age. It all started to come together, 9 studies, all on the same size paper, 9 to a grid on the wall. -JA
