Events events events! It must be spring soon and we are digging out of our winter blahs with a line of great events!
This weekend, Irish soda bread and Irish Lamb Stew!
March 28 at 3pm Illustrator Susan Detwiler will be here to talk about her new book, One Wolf Howls. Susan's illustrations are remarkable for their evocative nature and incredible brush strokes. And from 2 to 4 enjoy the 1rst English preschool ART exhibit! Cookies and juice for all!
April 25th at 4 pm brings local author Leslie Miller to Red Canoe for a great expose on the values of cake--yes, cake! Her new book Let Me Eat Cake: A Celebration of Flour, Sugar, Butter, Eggs, Vanilla, Baking Powder, and a Pinch of Salt delivers a delightful culinary treat--in more ways than one! Join us and meet Leslie for a wine and cheese reception at 4pm Saturday April 25.
On Saturday, May 9th at 4 pm, Red Canoe will be hosting local author and Washington Post writer Steve Luxenberg whose new non-fiction book, Annie's Ghosts, is already receiving awards and recognition in the publishing world. Join us for a wine and cheese reception, a chance to meet the author, and a fine afternoon!

Call for Crafters for ARTS CRAWL in May
3RD ANNUAL HAMILTON ARTS CRAWL,
Now including Lauraville!

CALL FOR CRAFTERS for
BIZARRE BAZAAR *** Saturday May 9, 2009 *** 10:00am – 4:00pm
The 3rd Annual Hamilton Art Crawl, extending to Lauraville this year, is quickly approaching. As part of the weekend festivities, a Bizarre Bazaar Arts and Craft Market is planned. The price per space is $30 each. The location at Faith Community Church at 5315 Harford Road. This event is rain or shine - spaces will be available both inside and out. Tables will not be provided.
Many plans are in the works to attract more shoppers into the are. There will be Shuttle to provide transportation to the various events happening on Harford Road during the event. Various advertising campaigns are planned as to drawl a larger crowd this year.
Please fill out the application located on the HLMS website & send in with your payment of $30. Once HLMS receives your completed application, you will be sent a confirmation with more information & some postcards if you wish to distribute advertising for the event. Thank you.
