Meeting Announcement

When? Tuesday, March 13th at 7:00 PM
Where? Garrett Heights School Cafeteria
(Parking and entrance off of Rueckert Avenue)
Who should attend? All Lauraville Residents

L.I.A. is bringing a panel of experts to answer questions facing parents, parents-to-be, and community members regarding how to navigate the vast number of school options available for educating our kids. This is a great opportunity for families to meet one another! We will have information available on local schools and will have two featured speakers:

Nicole Selhorst, Local Resident & Parent and owner of The Red Canoe
Nicole will discuss the challenge of connecting schools and children in Baltimore. With a lot of choices and a lot of information it can be a challenging decision.
“Knowing what your family needs and wants is a good start to making this important choice.”

David Borinsky, Board President, Maryland Charter School Network
David will be providing general information about charters schools. Specifically, he will discuss how providing parents with a choice and options is strengthening communities.
“We encourage people to visit the charters and learn more about their options, since all of them have different educational philosophies.”
