Help protect the old Hamilton Library from demolition

HLMS has requested from CHAP (Baltimore City's Commission For Historical & Architectual Preservation ) a "special list" protection for the old Hamilton Library at 3006 Hamilton Avenue.  The new owner of the property recently filed for demolition permits.  A hearing was scheduled for June 14th, but now has been postponed until further notice. We are requesting that concerned neighbors write a letter to CHAP to save the building from destruction.

The old Hamilton Library is an Andrew Carnegie library built after 1918 and opened on December 15, 1920.  It's a beautiful, yet neglected building that is well worth saving.
